Crypto Ads in Superbowl Final

Coinbase, Crypto.com, eToro debuted crypto ads during Super Bowl 2022. Super Bowl crypto ads stole the limelight from traditional businesses on social media platforms such as Twitter.

Coinbase Super Bowl 2022 commercial

Coinbase is one of the most popular crypto exchanges in the United States, often taking the No. 1 spot for being the most downloaded app on the Apple App Store. It’s commercial started off with the letter ‘’C’’ bouncing around the screen and shortly after, the letter was replaced with a QR code which silently moved across the screen similar to the first moving.

The QR code redirected users to Coinbase’s landing page that promoted a Bitcoin (BTC) giveaway and sign-up promotions when scanned.

It looks like this add reached its purpose as Coinbase services crashed temporarily, because of heavy traffic on its website. a follow-up message on the Coinbase app said:

“Well, that was more popular than we thought. We need a quick time out, but don’t worry. We’ll email you when things are back to normal.”

Coinbase spent around $14 million for 1 minute add during the Superbowl Final.

Crypto.com Super Bowl 2022 commercial

In its first Super Bowl ad, Crypto.com featured basketball legend LeBron James having a conversation with a version of himself from 2003. The commercial made even more sense to the public, considering that LeBron became the highest-scoring player in NBA history just one day before the commercial aired. LeBron joins the list of athletes that support crypto’s adoption.
Crypto.com spent around $6.5 million for this 30 seconds add.

The Superbowl final between The Los Angeles Rams and AFC’s Cincinnati Bengals was viewed by more than 100.000.000 fans all over the world and surely the money paid for break commercials are worth it.
